In 1975, Yoko Toda performed unKnown Ideal at the opening of the International Women’s Exhibition, organized by UNESCO at the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris (ARC), as part of the United Nations-designated International Women’s Year. The performance was documented through video and photography.
Although the original video footage has unfortunately been lost, this short film reconstructs the work using the surviving photographs. It was later presented as part of the Future Pass exhibition at the Venice Biennale in 2011.
